The non-profit competition “The Best Young Sociologist of the Year” has been running since 2007. This issue of the journal “Sociology: Theory, Methods, Marketing” presents essays submitted by contestants during 2024–2025 for the XIV competition. Despite some differences in the content of the topics, the common theme for them is the emergency situation in wartime.
